Thanks for stopping by! I am the Lady Kathryn O'Brien Most people know me as KC, so feel free to call me by either. I love wolves and their domesticated relatives so I decided to use them as the theme for my web page. In this section you can see other pictures of me in my SCA garb and get some info on my hobbies and activities.

Search and Rescue

General Info:

My Real name is Kirstin but everyone calls me K.C. The name Lady Kathryn O'Brien is my SCA name which will more than likely change as I do further research into the country and time period I am interested in. I reside in western Washington (the state). I attend the University of Washington and shall be graduating this summer (2002 - in case I get lazy later). I with then have my BA in Communications. I have already gone through the actuall Graduation Ceremony but I still have that one quarter left.

I am engaged to a wonderful man whom I have known since 3rd grade and have been dating since 10th. We will be getting married sometime after he finishes his BA (he's 2.5 years behind me). I can't wait!

Other stuff - um . . . I love dogs, especially Schnauzers as you can't tell from my Schnauzer Pack section. I am in Search and Rescue with my beloved Albert (covered below). I like to write short stories and novels (or at least start them). You can see my current works and ones that I have finished in Griff's Lair.

Search and Rescue:

I am a member of Kitsap County Explorer Search and Rescue and have been since 1995. In 1997, I got Albert certified to search in-county. Since then he has become well known and been invited to search in neighboring counties.

At the beginning of 2002 we (mostly my mom) established All Breed Canine Search and Rescue. This group is through ESAR so youth can be handlers (were the first in the nation to our knowledge that allows youth). My parents both have Standard Schnauzers that they are training for search work and Albert's son, Jack, is being trained by a good family friend, Miles(I gave Jack to him and am glad I did - they are a wonderful pair).
