WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ORIGINAL CHARACTERS!! -_- No matter what. No, I'm sorry. No characters that we know are dead either. I know that right now it's not confirmed whether or not Neji and Chouji are alive, but for this story's purposes they are.

This shouldn't be a problem as there are over 50 other characters in Naruto. If that is a problem then this is not the RP for you. Buh bai.

The following is a list of the characters that -I- had particular ideas of for. For applications please include write the background as I have noted, after acceptance, they are negotiable.

If you don't see the character you want to play on the list, it doesn't mean you can't play them, it just means I didn't have a particular plan for them.

  • [Naruto:] Since his battle with Sasuke, Naruto has been different. More subdued, more focused. He's still his loud energetic self most of the time, but it's tainted somehow. After battling Sasuke something broke inside of him. Feeling betrayed by someone he thought he could trust, there are few people that Naruto still open with: Iruka, Sakura, Kakashi, Jiraiya and Hinata mainly. But even to them he doesn't show his blinding smile all that often.

He trains everyday to be elected to take the Jounin exams with Hinata and Sakura. It's his main focus in life and it drives everything he does. Though he leaves little time for other things during the day, he makes a point every other evening of going to Chouji's restaurant and relax a little with his old friends.

  • [Sakura:] With Sasuke out of the picture, Sakura began to see the others around her a little bit more clearly. Lee and Naruto especially. After Sasuke came back they were both hurt, Lee physically and Naruto mentally. As time went by she came to realize that Lee needed her more than Naruto did he was so focused on training and becoming better than she knew she wouldn't ever hold that place in his heart.

Lee did need her and after a time she came to realize that she needed him too. His smiles, bright outlook, and the way he would beam at her first thing in the morning made her feel special. She came to love her time with Lee. Eventually they got an apartment and began living together.

Sakura still sees Naruto all the time and still loves him, but Lee is foremost in her mind. They train together for Jounin exams with Hinata and sometimes Ino. Sakura doesn't hold out much hope to actually make it, but she wants to at least say she tried. Lee supports her fully, but she knows if she doesn't make it she has a job waiting for her at the school with Iruka.

  • [Sasuke:] Once he was returned to Konoha, Sasuke was no longer treated like a prince around the village, but quite the opposite. The leaders of Konoha placed him under house arrest while they decided what to do with him. Sasuke wasn't allowed any visitors except for the Anbu guards and Kakashi who would come to visit him to continues his training. Once he was able to master control of the Sharingan as well as the curse seal placed on him by Orochimaru, his status was reviewed and with Kakashi's recommendation he was allowed to rejoin the village. It was a slow transition at first; Sasuke's anti-social attitude had only worsened from his time in isolation. He avoided contact as much as he could by walking at night when everyone was asleep, enjoying his freedom without unecessary interaction. He sometimes would go and see Naruto and Sakura, but seeing how happy they seemed made him stay away and not go near enough for them to see him.

Staying locked away for so long did nothing to improve his emotional constipation. Kakashi still visits regularly, especially after Sasuke told him that he was going to train to be a jounin. As Sasuke sees it it's all he has left, besides killing his brother. Everyone he knew had changed because of what he did, leaving Sasuke feeling even more isolated and alone in the world.

  • [Kakashi:] When Sasuke returned, he took it upon himself to look out for the boy and train him properly. He was the only one the village council chose to be allowed to visit the wayward Uchiha, a duty that Kakashi took seriously. He devoted most of his time to the Uchiha, but made sure that he told Sasuke's teammates how he was doing and let Sasuke know what was going on in the outside world.

With his recommendation Sasuke was let out of house arrest and allowed to join the rest of the village.

  • [Shino:] He stayed with Kiba a lot of the time after his friend's return from the mission to bring back Sasuke. He also helped his friend set up the house where he could raise dogs after Kiba decided not to continue on as a Shinobi.

Shino spent what time he could with Kiba in between missions, his feelings for him only growing with time. But there were more and more missions and Shino found himself elected to take the Jounin exams. He and Shikamaru were the only ones to pass that year, which left Shino with even less time to spend with Kiba.

Shino was chosen to accompany ambassadors to the other countries as a bodyguard. These missions kept him away from Konoha for months at a time. One such mission lasted almost a year and when Shino returned he had a baby with him. All he would say was that the child was his and the mother died giving birth. He was worried about showing the child to Kiba, feeling guilty for betraying him in such a way, but Kiba accepted the baby because it was Shino's and watches her when Shino is off on missions.

  • [Kiba:] Kiba was close to death when Kankuro rescued him and Akamaru. He was brought home immediately and they were both treated. Afterwards Kiba made the hard decision about whether or not to stay a shinobi. His sister was really the ninja in the family and so Kiba decided to quit. He got a house on the outskirts of the village with lots of room so he could raise dogs.

He and Shino are close, Kiba's feelings for the quiet boy having grown through the years. It's obvious that Shino cares for him as well, though Kiba wonders at times, his true confidence not always matching his bravado.

  • [Hinata:] With Kiba and Neji both dropping out as ninja. Hinata felt it was her duty to carry on for them. She tripled her efforts in training to a point where even her father was impressed. She trains with Naruto and Sakura as often as she can so she can be elected for the Jounin exams.

With the rise in her abilities Hinata's father has begun to groom her to take over the Hyuuga clan. Her relationship with Neji has blossomed since he returned from the mission to bring back Sasuke; Hinata was terrified when he came back so wounded and she spent most of her days with him during that time, talking about the future of the Hyuuga clan. Hinata promised Neji that when she became the head, she would stop the main branch from placing the seal on the branch family. Her father gave Neji the job of heading the branch families, which often put Hinata and Neji in close quarters. Hinata found that she loved her cousin and that being around him for too long could be quite painful becuase of her feelings for him

To escape her father's obsessiveness and the pull that she felt from Neji she would often visit Kiba and Shino out at Kiba's ranch, but even there she couldn't relax. She felt like a third wheel when both Kiba and Shino were there, like she was intruding on something. With Shino's little girl they were such a happy little family that Hinata, felt out of place being there.

The only real place she felt able to relax was at training or at times when everyone would go out to Chouji's for food and drinks.

  • [Kurenai:] Married to Asuma (like anyone's really surprised). They have a little boy and are currently expecting another child. Really mood swingy. Hooray pregnancy.

  • [Shikamaru:] Try as he might, he was still elected to take the Jounin exams and somehow passed them much to his dismay. He didn't receive any huge jobs like Shino did, which he was all right with. As it left him more time to spend with Chouji and Temari.

After Temari rescued him back in Sound, they began a rocky relationship that Temari sort of forced on him. Shikamaru spends what time with her that he can, but he really loves Chouji. He tries to drop hints to the man all the time about the way he feels towards him, but Chouji is either ignoring them or just oblivious.

But Shikamaru is patient (or just too lazy to act on it now.) and plans a head, content at the moment to have Temari lead him around.

  • [Chouji:] The red bean pill killed most of his abilities to use chakra, and so not seeing a real future in staying a Shinobi, Chouji decided to open a tavern. It surprised Chouji how difficult running a restaurant actually was, but he has Shikamaru there as well as his other friends to help him out with it.

It's been open two years now and is one of the most (if not the most) popular place in town for people to come and relax after a long day. Chouji keeps it open late for his friends that he knows are night owls like Kiba and Ino.

  • [Ino:] Since Shikamaru became a Jounin and Sakura and Naruto are training to be Jounin, well damn it! Ino's got to as well! She tends to train on her own or bug Shikamaru into helping her Temari too when she's visiting from sand. Ino's bound and determined to make it.

She still helps out at her family's flower shop, but spends a lot of her time training. Though every night she goes to Chouji's and, if someone lets her, will drink herself silly.

  • [Asuma:] Married to Kurenai. Has kids, w00t. He loves Kurenai a lot. It's easy to tell when she's having mood swings though, because Asuma will be found either at the bar with his former students or camping out with Iruka or Kakashi.

  • [Neji:] No one was sure if Neji would survive the wounds inflicted on him but somehow he did. Neji didn't want to give up on being a ninja because to him it was the only way to advance in the Hyuuga clan, but it was soon painfully obvious even to him that continuing on would not be possible. Seeing his nephew's depression grow as his chakra weakened, Hizashi, decided to give Neji the job of heading the branch family. Neji was intrigued by the position at first unsure of what it meant, but with Hinata's help he's worked to bring the family together.

When Neji woke in the Konoha hospital after being brought back, one of the first faces he saw was Hinata's. Not a day went by while he was recovering that he didn't' see her. Even after he had recovered, it seemed like fate found strange ways to put them together, Hinata's father pairing them up to learn responsibilty for the families. With as much as they had worked out their relationship together there were still many times were one could cut the tension between them with a knife. As Neji sees it, there's nothing that can be done about it, nor any possible way to act on it without destroying the tenetive relationship they'd just started to developed.

  • [Lee:] As much as everyone hoped that Lee would be able to continue with being a shinobi, after he returned from battling Kimimaro it became clear that Lee's condition was only beginning to deteriorate.

Sakura helped him out a lot during this time. If it wasn't for her, Lee isn't sure whether or not he'd have made it through. She was his pillar of support during that time and still is.

When Gaara was made Kazekage, he would accept no one but Lee as the ambassador. This gave Lee a renewed sense of purpose in his life. He and Sakura moved in together shortly after and Lee's never been happier.

  • [Gaara:] After developing the ability to control Shukaku and sealing him partially. Gaara found that he was able to live a relatively peaceful life. The people of Sand came to him more as a leader of their people, eventually asking him to become Kazekage. Gaara reluctantly accepted, fearful that the position would turn him bitter like his father.

Keeping the Sand's tie with Leaf. Gaara decided that Lee would be the only ambassador he would accept, trusting and respecting Lee.

  • [Temari:] Started a relationship with Shikamaru, knowing that the Konoha Jounin would never start it on his own. She knows that he loves Chouji she's not dumb but for now she doesn't seem to care.

She travels back and forth between Leaf and Sand acting as an ambassador, but spends most of her time in Konoha.

  • [Kankuro:] Now a Jounin of Sand, he either acts as guard for his brother Gaara or accompanies Temari to Leaf.

  • [Anko:] She's moved up in the ranks of the special Jounin. Dated quite a few people Genma, Kiba's sister... the list goes on. None of them really lasted as Anko, being the free spirit that she is, didn't enjoy being tired down for too long. She is terribly lonely, not that she'd ever admit it to anyone.

While she was dating Kiba's sister, she got a puppy from Kiba and they became close friends. She goes to visit often with the excuse that her dog wanted to see the others.

  • [Iruka:] The years have been quite lonely, seeing so many of his students give up on what he thought were their dreams. Poor Iruka, he lives alone and hasn't had any sort of close relationship with anyone else in the village. Sakura worries about him quite a bit and tries to cheer up her old teacher or at least make sure that he's eating right.

  • [Jiraiya:] Receiving a message from his old team mate that she was ill, Jiraiya returned immediately to Konoha to see her. It's been many years since Jiraiya had returned to Konoha and was somewhat surprised by all the changes that had taken place with it's residents.

He's proud of how Naruto's skills have improved, but he sees the closed off look in his eyes and worries.

  • [Tsunade:] Konoha is at peace; her grandfather would be proud. Sound is no longer an imminent threat with the allies of Sand and the village was rebuilt quickly after the attack with a renewed spirit in its people. The only huge dark spot that Tsunade can see in the time that she has been in charge was the situation with the Uchiha boy.

He, of course, had to be punished when he returned, but Tsunade found it difficult to do so him. She placed him under house arrest and cut him off from the rest of the village. It seemed like a good idea at the time. She allowed Kakashi to continue to teach the boy so he could learn to control his abilities, but when the boy was allowed back out Tsunade asked to see him and she wondered if what she'd done had been the right thing. Sasuke was even more closed off than he had been before and the look he gave her sent chills down her back it was a similar look to what Orochimaru would give her. She could tell that all the boy still cared about was revenge for his family, but that was something that she knew she would never be able to get out of his system.

The results of Sasuke leaving she saw affected many others in the village, his friends and those who were sent out after him. Seeing so many students fail to reach their dreams, Tsunade wondered if she had failed.

Recently, Tsunade has felt her health fade dramatically. She'll have sudden fits of pain and must go lay down before doing anything. Only the top leaders of the village and her assistants know, but they've been told to keep quiet; Tsunade's not ready to give up yet. There's too much to do still. The Jounin exams are coming up and she must scout out a replacement for herself along with running the village as if nothing was wrong. She called her old friend Jiraiya back to help her out... if she can keep him away from the bathhouses.
