Character Information:

Name: Percival Fraulien

Age: 28

Birthplace: Iksay Village, northern Zexen

Weapon: Long sword

Runes: Wind Rune

Eyes: Brown

Hair color and style: Dark brown gelled straight back from his face, looks like he styled it in a wind tunnel.

Occupation: Zexen Knight

Marital status: Single, though rarely at a loss for bed partners.

Relatives and/or close friends: Mother; Lives in Iksay still. Borus Redrum and the other Zexen Knights.

Appearance: Percival is very meticulous about his appearance as he shows with how styled his hair is. He keeps himself as clean as possible with his hair brushed back from his face. He usually wears either his armor or when that is not appropriate he'll wear a nice casual pantsuit. (Like when he took Chris to Iksay)

Personality: Percival is extremely friendly, especially if he finds the person attractive. He enjoys teasing people quite a bit, and likes to make people laugh; it is easy to say that he is the clown of the Zexen six. He hardly means any of it though. He mainly uses his teasing to hide things that he feels unsure about. He can be very serious when it is needed, like in battle or strategizing, but he knows very well that all work and no play makes Borus a dull boy.

Personal history:

Childhood: Percival grew up in the farming village of Iksay, in the northern lands of Zexen. His father passed away when he was six, leaving their farm to himself and his mother. Things were hard for a time, but the two persevered and were able to get by. During this time Percival became very skilled with horses and became the best in the village for taming and riding. Percival dreamed of becoming a knight and leaving the dreary farming town, a dream that his friend Barts couldn't understand, because they were poor peasants, but Percival never gave up honing his abilities to be able to try one day. His practicing paid off, when some of the knights who were running drills in the northern areas saw young Percival riding through the hills and took note of his skills to the capital. Later a messenger arrived saying that Percival would be taken as a squire among the knights. He was of course overjoyed at the prospect of leaving, though he was worried about his mother being able to run the farm without him, but the villagers said that they would help her and Percival promised to send money home when he could.

Percival had some trouble when he first got to the academy, being just a poor country boy while the other squires came from high up well to do merchant families. Though Borus claims not to remember now, he was one of the worst ones to Percival. Always rubbing it in his face that he was just a country bumpkin, and teasing him about the patches on some of his clothes. Percival who always tried to be friendly with everyone had found himself a real enemy, he and Borus would go for hours, once Percival started teasing the blonde back. It wasn't until one instance when their teasing led to blows that they started becoming friends. They had been punished of course, kitchen duty, and then stable duty. They weren't allowed to sleep until all of their chores were done and some how over the span of that twenty-four hour period, the two went in enemies and came back out the best of friends.

To Percival, it was truly like having a brother; he'd never been closer to anyone else in the world, not even Barts or his father when he'd been alive. He still teased Borus, but it was Percival's way of showing his affection. Percival never said anything to anyone else but he had come to love Borus as more than just a brother or a friend, but fearing his friend leaving him he never said anything just teased and Percival was content with that.

When Chris Lightfellow entered the academy everything changed. He could see it in Borus' eyes as soon as he saw the girl that he was smitten, and he immediately took a disliking to the silver haired maiden. His teasing became a little meaner, and a little more serious, until finally one day Sir Galahad took Percival aside and spoke with him. He told the man everything, his feelings for Borus and his jealousy for Chris, Percival felt better for having someone to talk to about it, he'd never dared tell any of the other knights or squires about how he felt, for fear of them rejecting him. After his talk with Sir Galahad, Percival found that he was signed up for more chores with Chris; he slowly got to know the young woman and came to be friends with her as well. It was very hard not to and believe me Percival tried, but he found he couldn't not like her. She was a true warrior as well as a true friend, and she like him had to fight her way around the academy to fit in she slowly became a sister to him as Borus was a brother. He went back to his friendly teasing, this time including Chris. He supposed that if his best friend had to be in love with someone, at least it was her.

Years, passed and Percival and the others eventually rose to the rank of knight. He and Borus were nearly inseparable, and gained a reputation in the ranks as well as nicknames. Percival being the 'Swordsman of Gale' and Borus the 'Swordsman of Rage' a title Percival thought fit him to a tee. Percival worked together with the knights, considering his time with them the best of his life. When the battles with the grasslands started, Percival fought along side his comrades following the lead of Sir Galahad into battle. When he fell, Percival was devastated. Sir Galahad was the one person he had been able to confide in with things concerning Borus or Lady Chris, but he fully supported Chris taking his place as the captain of the knights, after all it was one more thing to be able to tease her about.

Past (during game): Percival opted to stay behind with Leo in Vinay del Zexay before the next foray into Grasslands to meet with the Karayan people. It was only going to be negotiations and so Lady Chris felt taking all of the six might be a little too overwhelming and pushy, she didn't feel like having another battle on her hands at that that is what Percival assumed. He didn't mind too much though, as fun as negotiations could be, Percival didn't feel quite up to them after Galahad's death. Though he still had quite a bit of action still staying in the city, orders came through that an emissary from the Karayan was to be apprehended and held until the negotiations were through, however he and Leo were unsuccessful at apprehending the Karayan band and so they returned to brass castle to await the rest of their comrades. (I honestly need to play through the game again, I don't remember the exact reason they were going after Hugo and them)

He greeted his friends as they rode back in with smiles, but he received none in return. One of the soldiers who accompanied them was kind enough to tell himself and Leo, about what had happened. Percival couldn't quite believe what he heard though, he knew that people could become crazy during battle, but he never expected his two friends to act as such, especially Lady Chris, for her to attack at child was crazy! As for Borus' actions, all Percival could say was that he was very disappointed in the man and he partially blamed himself, perhaps if he had gone if he had been there he might have been able to control Borus and keep him in line. He went to talk to Borus about it but found that the man had shut himself off in his room. Not wanting to have to deal with Borus' wrath. Hearing though of Chris' collapse he took it upon himself to make sure that she got the rest and relaxation she needed and she wasn't going to find at Brass castle.

Percival invited her to join him on a trip to Iksay for their annual harvest festival. Percival knew that it would be nice and quiet with out the distractions that Brass had. He had to admit that it was a rather nice trip with Chris; since the battles started with Grasslands they hadn't been able to spend a whole lot of time together. It was good to see her relaxed well as relaxed as she ever got. It was ever worth the little bit of humiliation for her to meet his mother. And hear of his horrid nickname of Percy.

After being shown around Chris went off on her own and Percival ran into his old friend Barts who had grown into an incredible farmer, just as Percival figured that he would. Shortly after they arrived however, Grasslanders from the Lizard and the Karayan clan attacked Iksay. Percival immediately went into action to make sure that the villagers were safe and defend them from the invaders, but during the commotion he lost Lady Chris. He was able to catch up with her some time later after most of the fighting was over, she was in the company of a man who called himself Nash Clovis. Percival didn't trust the man one bit, but he did have a certain charm, that was for sure. When Borus and the other knights caught up with them he went over and punched Percival WITH HIS GAUNTLET ON!! And began screaming at Percival about how irresponsible he was to bring Lady Chris to a place that was so dirty and low. (Again I don't remember the exact words to timing on events) It hurt Percival a lot to hear those words from his friend, and he glared back at the blonde, he wondered if Borus even realized that Percival was from this place and grew up there. He didn't speak to Borus again for quite some time after that.

As the battles with the Grasslanders heightened and the true plot behind them surfaced, Percival continued to fight along side Lady Chris and the knights. He did what he could to help in battle and followed the knights as they moved their headquarters to Budehuc Castle. Percival liked it there quite a bit, some of his old friends from Iksay had moved there after the attack during the festival, including his mother. Percival was glad that they would be safe there. Percival fought hard along side everyone else until the masked bishop was defeated when he and the knights returned to their home at Brass Castle.

Present: After the treason of the council siding with Harmonia, Percival of course followed Lady Chris and hid with the others into the grasslands so that they could plan on how to once again stop the invading threat of Harmonia.

He was glad to see some of the friends that he had made during the war once more, he only wished that it was under better circumstances. It troubled him how Borus still seemed to be beating himself up over the fact that he had burned the Karayan's village, and Percival tried to help him where he could. But he wasn't going to completely forgive the blonde until he apologized about insulting his home.
